If BDW has even the slightest hint of OCD as I do, I don't blame you if you format to it proper place. So, here you go bloody wankers.
Steven Gerrard, Liverpool midfielder and captain. I pretty much agree with all the names mentioned above but my top 5 has to have this guy. Messi just gets it done, Cristiano Ronaldo likewise. Et’o and Xavi not far behind. Ballack is only 32 but for me, he has to step aside on this list to the young guys. I might have to nominate Gerrard to your Xavi question, slideshow...I wish I could have seen more premier league this season, but Gerrard is at the absolute top of his game right now.
I totally understand this pick. It was either Gerrard or Torres for me and I went with Torres because of his mind blowing debut season with Liverpool in 07/08. His play was down a bit this year but you could argue that so was Ronaldo's. Doesn't matter, you could make the case for Torres being the best striker in the globe.
ReplyDeleteSho. SHO! I thought the same thing aboot Ballack, i guess it doesn't make sense cause I still threw Walcott on there and he hasn't even begun to hit his prime. I'm sure Gerrard would give Xavi a run, I just haven't seen the guy play enough. Good call on the post BDW, I didn't realize how starved I was for first rate soccer. Now I feel like an idiot for forcing those CROSBY! posts.
ReplyDeleteSo Torres just extended his contract with Liverpool till 2014. With Kuyt, Gerrard, and Torres (all 3 in the top ten in scoring this season) does Liverpool clean up the Premier League next season? Which starts in August. Which ends next year. Which is when the world cup starts. Which Argentina will win?
ReplyDeleteI like Liverpool's chances but you can't count oot Man U and a very young Arsenal team that will be way more developed by then. My favorite for the World Cup is La Furia Roja, which is also who I'll be rooting for since Mexico probably won't even qualify. I have Germany and Argentina behind them. I really think that winning the European cup last year was a huge step for the Spaniards, and I definitely think they have the most stockpiled talent.
ReplyDeleteSHO!!! I'm rooting for the Spaniards as well, but i'm calling it Argentina, Spain, Germany.
